Weight Loss can be a tricky thing, it is all about what works best for you. There is a misconception among many people that the only way to do that is to eat less food and workout more. There is a truth to this, but it’s not the whole truth. It goes much deeper than that.

The best way to lose weight and some may argue, is the only way, is a calorie deficit. There are three different types of calorie intake:

  • Calorie Surplus — Consuming more calories than you are burning to gain weight.
  • Calorie Maintenance — Eating about the same amount of Calories that you are burning to Maintain where you are already at.
  • Calorie Deficit — Consuming less calories than you are burning to lose weight.

The first step is finding a source of workout that you love doing and is maintainable. Options are cardio, HIIT, strength training, dance, biking, walking, running, and so many more. The absolute best way to burn calories is to get moving. The more calories you burn, the higher chance you have of losing weight faster.

The best way to burn some more calories is to keep moving in whatever way works best for you!

Now, nutrition. Nutrition is the most important part of this journey you will take. Many people will say eat less, or things similar and you will see results immediately. No. You are able to eat anything you want or crave as long as you are maintaining a calorie deficit.

Personally, eating heathier helped me lose weight because I was able to eat more food but at a lower calorie intake. This does not mean that I did no have my sweets and sugars every once in a while. I definitely had my fair share of those days where it was hard to resist. It is also important that you recognize your cravings and don’t restrict yourself completely. Finding a good balance is key.

Everyone’s weight loss journey will look different and there are many ways to go about losing weight. You have to find what works best for you, what you love doing, and you will be able to keep consistent!
